Ride the industrial robot arm

Dangerous robot arm thrill ride.

Great video of a manufacturing robot arm being put to good use as a thrill ride. They welded a car seat with a 5-point racing harness to the end of the robotic arm and programmed in some exciting patterns for it to follow - the result is a rather dangerous ride.

The bit where the guy's head comes only a couple of inches from scraping on the floor! But the robot is very precise, so its close - but its not going to hit.

Brilliantly, Legoland California have turned this idea into a commercial ride at their park called "Knights' Tournament"
