Can the Xbox 360 compete with the PS3 & Wii?

Xbox 360 So it may not have motion sensitive controllers, and it may not play HD-DVD's. But there's some good reasons why the Xbox 360 has sold over 10 million units worldwide since it's launch in November/December 2005.

Powerful hardware - Both the graphics and cpu can easily compete with Sony's PS3 for sheer power, and is far ahead of the Wii in this department.

Massive Game selection - Literally hundreds more titles available than the PS3 & Wii, which both have very few games available. Game developers obviously like the console, and they've had more time to spend on it than the PS3 & Wii.

Xbox 360 Console & Controller Good looks - All the Next-Gen consoles have a beautiful sleek, minimal look. The first Xbox was criticised for its large ugly black box, but the 360 is much improved.

Tried-n-tested Online Network - Microsoft have been running their Xbox Live service since the first generation Xbox, they have much more experience in online gaming than Sony or Nintendo. Although you have to pay to subscribe to Xbox Live, you usually get what you pay for and the free online gaming offered by Sony & Nintendo might not be sustainable.

HDMI High Definition output - For extra detailed graphics in your games, the same as the Sony PS3. Although you need a HD TV to make any use of it.

Xbox 360 It was out last year - Many people got one when it was the only Next-Gen console out.

Solid & Reliable - The 360 is standing the test of time, with no problems like those that have hit Sony & Nintendo; The Wii Wrist Strap replacements and Sony's manufacturing problems with the Blu-ray drive that led to Europe not getting the PS3 for Christmas.

With its price falling in the middle of the three NextGen consoles, the Xbox 360 is pretty good value and makes for a good gaming machine plus it does lots as a home media centre / video player.
