Computer made of wood

The wooden pc peripherals. Some people seem determined to try and make their latest bit of technology look as natural as possible, as if they had been hand-carved by an ancient craftsman.

This is a line of luxury computer accessories that are completely finished in a natural hardwood of your choice out of a selection almost 40 different woods. The peripherals offered include 17" & 19" LCD monitors and wireless USB mice & keyboards.

Definitely a product aimed solely at the rich, a set including a monitor, mouse & keyboard using 'Class 1' wood (the cheapest) runs to a pricey $2,950 (£1,503). If you want the fancy Class 4 wood, the bill is upped to $3,775 (£1,930).

But the wooden mice & keyboards were not developed solely as a flashy design statement - there is also a health reason for doing it; Some people are allergic to the plastic used in the usual computer mice & keyboards, because of this, they benefit greatly from using the wooden peripherals as they cause no allergic reaction.

They'll certainly make your PC look in-keeping with the decor.. if you live in a stately home. I think silver, black & white are as much of an improvement on the classic dirty beige as we need in our modern sometimes-minimalist world.
